Cleopatra was the Queen of Ancient Egypt. She was born in 69 BCE in Alexandria, Egypt. Her goal was to make Egypt more powerful. Cleopatra and her brother, Ptolemy XIII, ruled the Egyptian Kingdom after their father's death in 51 BCE. Ptolemy had more followers than Cleopatra and he used that to drive Cleopatra away from the throne to take it for himself. During this time Cleopatra turned to Julius Caesar of Rome for help taking back her kingdom. Caesar helped Cleopatra defeat her brother in 47 BCE and she returned to her throne.
